Program description | The Computer Support Specialist option prepares students for entry level employment in the Information Technology (IT) industry. Computer Support Specialists provide help and support to people and organizations using computer software or equipment. some, called Help Desk Technicians, provide technical help to non-IT computer users. Students are trained in technical support of PC operating systems and hardware and networking fundamentals. Students are prepared to take industry certification, CopmTIA A+ and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), exams validating their skills. If desired, students can continue training and apply all earned credits to the Systems Administration Certificate of Achievement and associate in Applied Science degree. |
