Network Support Specialist support IT employees within their organization. They typically test and evaluate existing network systems, perform regular maintenance to ensure that networks operate correctly, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide are networks (WANs) and Internet systems.Students completing this short-term training option are prepared for entry level employment in the Information Technology (IT) industry. Students are prepared to take industry certification exams validating their skills. If desired, students can continue training and apply all earned credits to the Systems Administration Certificate of Achievement and Associate in Applied Science degree.
