Program description | An IT support professional is tasked with installing and configuring workstations, servers, and IT services, as well as supporting end users (either within the business or externally for clients). This is a generalist position that may branch into specializations of data center technicians (little to no end user support in a data center instead of an office environment) or network technicians (with little to no workstation/server work and supporting network infrastructure and services). Related occupational roles include systems administrators and network security administrators, both of which are more advanced and more technical versions of the IT Support role. |
