Program description
An IT business analyst is tasked with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to help IT-related departments or IT business units make operational decisions. Data sources may include customer or user analytics, internal resource allocation metrics, staff performance metrics, or system logs. Related occupational roles include cybersecurity analysts, which confine their research and analysis to technical network and data access control functions, and require more in-depth technical knowledge. This is not a general business analyst position and focuses on systems analysis and not the full IIBA BOK.
