Program description | Educates students in aiding or performing the activities of daily living (ADL) for the residents/patients/clients. ADL are activities such as grooming, bathing, toileting, and feeding. After successfully completing the course, one challenges the State exam and this leads to eventual certification as a nurse assistant by the State. Various employers, such as Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Homes, Nursing Homes, Outpatient Clinics, Hospital etc, employ CNA. Also, most LPN-RN and RN programs require the applicant to have some experience as a CNA. |
Entrance requirements | Current (within one year) clean TB test results. SSN. Valid Washington driver’s license or State ID. High school diploma or GED or must pass an entrance exam. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Background inquiries will be done on everyone. According to state law, if you have any criminal or financial exploitation convictions for acts done on a person under your care, you cannot work in the Health Care field. |
