Program description | The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration program provides healthcare practitioners holding an associate degree in an allied health field with the skills and competencies to function as supervisors and managers in healthcare settings. The program prepares health care professionals to meet increasing responsibilities in the healthcare system by providing a foundation in management and interpersonal skills. The courses contain information on the health care delivery system and its many and varied issues and challenges. In addition to attendance in all courses, students will be required to complete out-of-class assignments. These assignments include, but are not limited to, reading, exercises and problem solving, projects, research, papers, and presentations. A student can anticipate out-of-class activities that equal about two hours for every one hour of lecture. Graduates can seek entry-level positions in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. |
